Myeloproliferative neoplasms (MPNs) are a heterogeneous group of hematological malignancies that begin with an abnormal mutation in the stem cells of bone marrow.

The three main MPNs are Polycythemia Vera (PV), Myelofibrosis (MF) and Essential Thrombocythemia (ET).
